Airflow, pressure and airspeeds

8 min read

Pressures

Moving air has static pressure (pressing equally in all directions) and dynamic pressure q = ½ρV², from its motion. Bernoulli: in a steady flow, where the air speeds up its static pressure falls. Continuity: through a narrowing the same mass of air must pass, so it speeds up.
