Routes and minimum altitudes
8 min read
Choosing the route
An IFR route is built from SIDs, airways (or free-route airspace), and a STAR, with the levels allowed by the cruising-level rules and the route's own restrictions. Wind, weather, airspace, charges and the operator's preferences shape the choice.
