Required distances (turbojets)
The landing distance from 50 ft above the threshold to a full stop, as certified on a dry runway, must not exceed 60 % of the LDA: so the LDA must be at least about 1.67 × that distance. On a wet runway, 115 % of the dry figure (about 1.92 ×); contaminated runways have their own data. Turboprops: 70 % of the LDA (about 1.43 ×).
